🌟WOW !! We have crossed over from 2020 into 2021 and this year is such a different experience…. such a different world right!? Who knew that 365 days could change our lives so drastically? Nobody but God!
You know… trust is a hard thing sometimes, that’s why God gives us a gift🎁, a measure of faith. Sometimes that measure is large and we can use that measure for multiple instances in our lives and even move mountains. Sometimes the measure is small and we have to work that faith over and over again like a muscle until we can see a result. Never the less, whatever the measure is, the fact remains we all have it!
👩 I know for me… my faith has been at different places at different times in my life… There are times when I have faith so big that I can conquer anything and other times when my faith is so small that I wondered if God had even heard my prayers. Regardless of our state of affairs, God is still God. He is still on the throne and there is none other besides Him!
🔵 Our job is to remind ourselves of His goodness. 🔵 Our job is to remind ourselves that God is in control 🔵 Our job is to remind ourselves of God’s keeping power 🔵 Our job is to remember the prayers that he answered before 🔵 Our job is to remember that God has never left us for any reason… at any time!
That’s why I can say “Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all of His benefits!” God’s desire for us is always good. God’s plan for us is better than any plan we ever imagined ourselves! We just have to learn how to trust Him at all times. And when we mature a little more… activate that faith muscle so that we can move mountains 🌄!
REAL FAITH takes real work! Just cause we got faith doesn’t mean we don’t have to work! Immature faith is lazy, wanting God to take responsibility for all of our actions & inactions while forgoing free will. Immature faith will have us thinking that because God is in control we don’t have to make right decisions or any decisions at all. REAL FAITH encompasses our belief systems, incorporates our hopes and dreams, and then energizes us into outward action. That’s why Paul can assertively say “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!” The real truth is, work is work, and work is always hard, that’s why it’s called work! But with God all things are possible! That’s why faith is so important to what we do!
The challenges get real real, real fast sometimes. Just because the situation is hard doesn’t mean that God’s hand isn’t still in it. Nobody told you (me) that the road would be easy!!!
So it ain’t easy… so what… We have faith!
Faith doesn’t make anything easy, and I mean nothing, but faith makes everything possible… All I need are possibilities and open doors and I will take that action Lord… Thank you for unyielding faith and the unction to function!
First Lady, stop looking backward. Sometimes people, including us, will hold on to who we used to be. Everybody (including ourselves sometimes) comes to the conclusion that who we were before is sooooo much better than who we are now. Encourage yourself, say “I know better than that! Who I am today is who God wants me to be!”

The real truth is that we were comfortable with who we used to be & so were others!
We were ok with where we were because there was no pressure., no occasion to rise to!
Others were ok with where we were because their expectation for us was already low.
There was no reason to do better than we were doing at that moment & no reason to reach for greater things.
BUT let us catch a glimpse of the greatness that God has instilled in us then suddenly there is a problem. Who do we think we are to be something other than what we have been our whole life!
Listen, nobody gets to determine who you will become on your journey. This is between you and God! IF God forgives and forgets, why not others, why not we ourselves? Leave the past in the past, it can not be changed, it cannot be altered, it is part of who we are now, but it can not control our tomorrow. Let go of yesterday, it was so 5 minutes ago and now it’s over
Today we are new creations!
Today we have new minds!
Today our eyes are opened!
Today we respond to the call!
Today God has called us to purpose!
My future is looking pretty bright today… all I can see are great things… what about you?

There are some things no one can do for you, you just have to buckle down and do them yourself! There is no use peeking over the fence at what’s going on in other people’s lives when God has placed an amazing calling on your life since the beginning of it.

The race is not won by the swift one, or the strong one, but it is won by the person that can make it to the finish line. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 & Hebrews 12:1) There is no 1st, 2nd, or 100th place in God. There are only those who finish and those who don’t!
I really want to encourage you to not give up in the middle of your journey, because of this pandemic we are in or any other circumstance that may arise today. Since the beginning of time, God knew you, He placed a calling in your heart, & He will see it through to the end.
The question is do you have the endurance to make it to the end?
Do you have the wherewithal not to give up until you have captured every dream the Lord has set before you?
Our God is so gracious, every day we wake up whole in our mind, body, and soul, is an opportunity to “Pursue our callings until we capture them!”
Don’t be so hard on yourself First Lady! God already knows who we are & what we can handle. Working feverishly to please others is a task that will never be completed or done correctly. God encourages us to offer whatever we have to Him instead of people (Colossians 3:23) and He (God) will be our inheritance and rewarder!
Take it from me it’s no fun anyway, just makes you feel real old real fast!😆
I know it sounds cliche but let go and let God. He really will help you through all your hardest transitions.
Sometimes our vision gets a little misguided because we are encouraged to be an example for others. So doing things right quickly turn into doing things perfect. NO ONE IS PERFECT! so don’t allow yourself to get drawn in by that illusion. The best any of us can really do is to be better than we were yesterday. Because of God’s grace that’s not so impossible.
When you feel overwhelmed about all that you have to be, take a moment… Selah… and remember God is not done with you yet! Please be patient with your process
